Centrifugal spray dryer is a mechanical equipment that vaporizes the wet content (generally refers to water or other volatile liquid components) in the material by heating to obtain a solid material with a specified moisture content.
The drying process requires a lot of heat energy, and in order to save energy, some materials with high wet content, suspensions or solutions containing solid matter are generally dehydrated or heated and evaporated by mechanical dehydration or heating, and then dried in the equipment to obtain dry solids.

The purpose of drying is to meet the needs of material use or further processing. For example, the drying of wood before making wood molds and wood tools can avoid the deformation of products, and the drying of ceramic blanks before calcination can prevent the finished product from cracking. In addition, the dried material is also convenient for transportation and storage, such as drying the harvested grain below a certain moisture content to avoid mildew. Because natural drying is far from meeting the needs of production development, various mechanized centrifugal spray dryers have been widely used.
In the drying process, it is necessary to complete the transfer of heat and mass (wet separation) at the same time, to ensure that the partial pressure (concentration) of wet vapor on the surface of the material is higher than the partial pressure of wet vapor in the external space, and to ensure that the temperature of the heat source is higher than the temperature of the material.
The heat is transferred from the high-temperature heat source to the wet material in various ways, so that the moisture on the surface of the material vaporizes and escapes to the external space, so that the difference in moisture content between the surface and the inside of the material occurs. The internal moisture is diffused to the surface and vaporized, so that the moisture content of the material is continuously reduced, and the overall drying of the material is gradually completed.
