Failure is one of the problems of spray drying equipment. There are many forms of failure, among which deformation failure is common. It is an elastic deformation failure caused by mechanical force and temperature.
The components of the equipment will deform under the effect of mechanical force, and the relationship between stress and deformation follows Hooke's law. The cooperation service of parts is very strict. When the cooperation gap is micron, the elastic deformation can not be ignored. Excessive deformation will lead to abnormal operation, and boring equipment cannot operate normally.
When selecting centrifugal spray drying equipment, it can judge whether the drying equipment is deformed through calculation. Investigate whether there are scratches, scratches or abrasion in the cooperation that should not be touched during equipment operation; It can also be judged by calculation and verification.
Of course, the spray drying equipment has not only deformation problems, but also yield problems. This is the problem caused by plastic deformation when the component is stressed to a certain extent. We can judge whether the component has significant plastic deformation, distortion, bending and depression.
The spray drying equipment uses hot air to finish the drying of foggy products. The hot air enters the tower from the mouth of the spray drying tower, and the exhaust gas after the completion of the drying operation is discharged by the induced draft fan. During the operation of the spray drying equipment, it is important to properly control the temperature (hot air temperature) and outlet temperature (exhaust temperature) when the spray dry hot air enters the tower, which determines the product quality, dry bulk density and other factors, and shall be strictly controlled.
The hot air temperature of spray drying equipment will have a significant impact on the bulk density of the product. High temperature hot air tends to produce low bulk density, which is due to the dry effect of hot air, which hardens the surface of particles and swells the residual moisture, thus speeding up the composition of balloon shaped hollow particles. If high bulk density (low specific volume) or solid particles are required, high-temperature hot air and newly formed droplets should not be used in the design.
In the daily production, there will be some problems in the later product inspection. The main problem is that the relevant parameters of the spray drying equipment are not reasonably set. What are the common problems?
1. Wet powder adhered to the inner wall of the main tower of the dryer:
Cause: the material feeding speed is too fast and the quantity is too large, resulting in dryness and incompleteness; It is caused by not following the operation in the equipment operation instruction and the main tower of the equipment is not heated.
Solution: slow down the feeding speed and quantity, and properly regulate the feeding pump; Improve the inlet and outlet temperature; Investigate whether there is material blockage in the spray drying equipment.
2. There are a lot of impurities in the product:
Cause: the origin of impurities is mainly that the dry medium contains impurities, the purity of the material liquid is not high, and there are impurities in the spray drying equipment.
Solution: check the air filter and properly change the filter screen that has been used for a long time; Carry out sampling inspection on the feed liquid to screen the impurities; Clean the equipment.
